Minutes of

Previous Meeting Read and approved. Moved for adoption by Mr Pringle and seconded by Mrs Keddie

Matters Arising: a) Police Matters - The secretary had received apologies from Sergeant Paton as

his officers were busy tonight. He had nothing to report to meeting.

b) Dull Farm Steading Site - Still no work has been done on site. The secretary had

e mailed the developers again with no response. There has been speculation in the

village that one of the plots have been sold.

c) Weem to Aberfeldy Path and Speed Limit - Still no sign on the Strathtay Road. The

secretary will ask Councillor Campbell if he can chase up.

d) Weem Environmental Improvement Scheme - Response from Scottish Water in

correspondence. No results from the complaint about smell from Dull scheme.

e) Etape Caledonia Cycle Event - The charges against Rannoch Community Council

chairman have been dropped. The secretary brought to the attention of the meeting

the official tourist figures for last year, which show a large drop in tourists visiting

Perth and Kinross.

f) New Community School - The new school is progressing and now the facing brick

on not quite so noticeable from Weem.

g) Weem Churchyard - The secretary to contact Councillor Campbell to see if he has

had any response to the request for the railing to be painted.

h) Highland Perthshire Community Safety Panel - Minutes from last meeting in the

correspondence.

i) Dull Cross Road Junction - Not expecting any lining to be done in the present

weather conditions. Secretary will contact John McNab for an update on when it was

likely to be done.

j) Path Signs - Dull Wood sign still to be done by Perth and Kinross Countryside Trust.

k) Dull Church Appeal - The reporter has granted the appeal with conditions.

Mr Pringle has contacted Mr John Swinney MSP to express his disappointment with

this decision and had copied the e mail to the Chairman of the Community

Council.

l) Adoption of Red Telephone Boxes - The secretary had e mailed Perth and Kinross

Council with the request to retain functioning phone box in Weem and not to

adopt it.

m) Griffin Wind Farm Fund - Mr Kennedy had e mailed the Community Councillors

with the proposals for the Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund. He went over this

at the meeting. He had been asked if it was possible to organise the dates of

the next three Community Council meeting to enable the Scottish Community

Foundation representatives to attend a meeting. This was done. The secretary

advised the meeting that his earlier concerns on the fund had been diluted by

the proposals.

n) Charitable Fund - The secretary had checked with elders at Dull and Weem Church

to see if they knew of anyone in the area that might benefit from the fund. It would

seem that there is nobody that has coal as their primary heating system now.

Beauly Denny Decision

A.O.B. a) Birks Cinema - The secretary had received a request for support in a grant

application for the redevelopment of the cinema. The size of the grant request

caused concerns and it was agreed to ask for a representative of the Friends of the

Birks Cinema to address a meeting with their plans. The secretary was instructed

to organise this.

b) Beauly to Denny Power Line - The Scottish Government decision on this was

passed round the Community Councillors just prior to the meeting. As it is a

large report it was suggested leaving discussion of this to our next meeting and

this was agreed.

c) Traffic Lights on Wades Bridge - Mr Menzies expressed his concern about how

quickly the lights were changing on the bridge at present, especially on the

Aberfeldy side. The secretary will raise this concern with John McNab of the Roads

Department.
